Design for all
KdG focuses on qualitative, accessible and user-friendly education for each of its students, regardless of possible physical or mental limitations, personal background or study methods. We like to refer to this approach as ‘design for all’. That is why:
- we make sure that both the materials we use and the methods of instruction we employ live up to our high standards;
- we offer the necessary facilities for students who wish to combine their training with a job or a top-class sport and for students dealing with physical or mental limitations;
- we constantly strive for meeting the requirements of visitation and accreditation.
Focus on the field of activity
During your training the focus is on the ultimate goal of finding a suitable job:
- Practice: our trainings are not limited to just theory. We are aware of the importance of actual experience in the field of activity for the learning process. Our students are offered the possibility to practice their skills during internships, workshops, company visits, projects and by writing dissertations.
- Innovation: we regularly update our trainings and make sure students learn about the latest developments in their field of study. We are known for our activity with regard to research and consultancy.
- Job service: once you have graduated you can consult our vacancy database (in Dutch) that offers you an overview of the latest vacancies offered by companies and organizations corresponding to your field of study.
- Teamwork: we strongly believe in the advantages of team work as we feel that a team effort always leads to the best results.
- Open communication: we believe that progress requires dialogue.
Digital
Each of our trainings has specific requirements with regard to necessary materials. We make sure that our students have easy access to these materials:
- Most campuses are equipped with wireless internet.
- The electronic learning environment Blackboard is used intensively for sharing course notes, assignments, tests and portfolios.
- Each student receives a personal KdG-email address that is used for all the necessary communication concerning their trainings.
International
Every year about 250 students and 50 instructors choose to experience life and education abroad via exchange programs or internships.
KdG itself is a popular destination for international students as well. Last year, for example, we welcomed about 250 students from all over the world to our institution.

- shopping in second hand shops or fancy boutiques;
- wining and dining in a multicultural fashion;
- burning calories in the gym;
