Erasmus Programme International Officer - 50-60% - (ad interim) (f/m/x)

To temporarily replace a colleague we are looking for a:

Erasmus Programme International Officer - 50-60% - (ad interim) (f/m/x)

Your role

  • You are jointly responsible for the organization and follow-up of administrative and organizational processes for international student mobility within the new Erasmus+ exchange programme. These mobility flows and scholarship payments are monitored via a web-tool: Mobility Online.
  • You report both internally and externally on these mobilities, via various reporting tools (e.g. to the Erasmus National Agency and the Flemish Government).
  • You help to monitor internationalisation budgets.
  • You convert external guidelines into internal processes and involve relevant stakeholders.
  • You proactively monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes, procedures and tools related to Erasmus mobility and you contribute to a good cooperation within the team and with the programmes/services. You proactively identify bottlenecks, formulate suggestions to improve the functioning of the international office and contribute to their follow-up.
  • You work at Campus Zuid as a member of the Internationalisation teal, within the Department of Education. You report to the Head of Internationalisation.

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
  • You have experience with case and financial management.
  • You get energy from working with data and representing them correctly, as well as from supporting team members in this.
  • You are very familiar with ICT applications in the performance of your work, especially with MS-office programmes such as Excel.
  • You can easily master new online tools and databases.
  • You are proficient in Dutch and English, both written and spoken in a professional context.
  • You are a fluent communicator and connect well with your colleagues, both live and digitally.
  • You are customer-oriented and diplomatic.
  • You adopt a proactive and agile attitude, adapting your own working methods and behaviour to achieve objectives.
  • You can independently and meticulously plan your work and tackle a variety of problems according to deadlines and opportunities.
  • You are self-critical: you reflect on your own actions in view of your own professional development.
  • You are globally competent and a front row supporter when it comes to internationalisation. Experience with internationalisation in the context of higher education is a plus.
  • You show commitment at team level, within the broader Internationalisation department and towards KdG as an organization.

  • You will join the Internationalisation team. Facilitating students in getting their Erasmus scholarship, building in-depth understanding of the Erasmus+ process, moving mountains of work at a live or virtual coffee hour? We got you.

  • A temporary part-time employment contract (50-60%) as contracted employee (replacement of a colleague). Your contract lasts until June 30th 2023, renewable in case of absences of colleagues.
  • The start date is as soon as possible and will be determined in mutual agreement.
  • You can count on benefits such as flexible working hours, possibility of hybrid working, a laptop, training opportunities, a significant number of vacation days (45 days for a full-time assignment) and the option of hospitalisation insurance at a favourable rate.
  • You will receive a salary according to your expertise, competencies and experience within the growth path B21-B31 (the equivalent of salary scales 592-584-594).   • Commute via public transport is reimbursed 100% and for commuting via bike, you get 0.15 € per km.
