Invoice and payment
When is your tuition fee confirmed?
- Your tuition fee is confirmed once we have received your complete application and reviewed the required documents.
- Your fee is calculated based on the information and supporting documents available at the time of enrolment, including those relating to nationality, residency status, and study grant eligibility, taking into account their respective validity terms.
- If certain documents are missing, the higher fee may be applied temporarily. Your fee will be adjusted once the correct documents have been submitted and approved.
How do you receive your invoice?
- You will receive all invoices at your KdG email address and your personal email address.
- Invoices are sent from facturatie.noreply@kdg.be.
- Students paying the higher fee for their first academic year will receive their payment request via Flywire, KdG's official platform for international tuition fee payments.

Paying in instalments
- You can spread your payment if you pay the basic fee or the higher fee from your second academic year onwards, for any programme excluding postgraduate programmes, post-training courses, and study days.
- Higher fee students in their first academic year are not eligible for instalments.
- When spreading your payment, you pay in 5 instalments. If you enrol in January or February, you pay in 3 instalments.
- You can request a payment plan during (re-)enrolment or via the instalment request form.
Financial support
KdG does not offer scholarships or grants.
- As a public institution, we spread our funding across the entire student body, helping us keep tuition fees fair and education accessible to as many students as possible.
- If you meet the nationality conditions, you may be eligible for financial support from the Flemish Government. This support takes two forms:
- A study grant (studietoelage): a direct financial contribution towards your study costs.
- Reduced tuition fees (verminderd studiegeld): a lower tuition fee based on your financial situation.
- Master's and advanced master's students may also be eligible for a Mastermind scholarship from Study in Flanders. Note that application deadlines fall early in the year. Check the Study in Flanders website for eligibility criteria and current deadlines.
Flemish study grant
The Flemish study grant is financial support provided by the Flemish government to help cover study-related costs.
If you are living in Belgium under a student or work visa, you will not be eligible.
- To be eligible, you must meet three types of conditions: nationality or residency conditions, academic conditions and financial conditions.
- You can apply via the official digital platform of the Flemish government. You create your student profile and will be able to track your application from start to finish.
- Application deadline: 1 June of the running academic year.
- Check your eligibility with our simulation tool. Based on this assessment, we may also provide an advance payment of your study grant. This can help you bridge the period before you receive the official grant.
- If you have any questions about the Flemish "studietoelage", please e-mail us at financieelwelzijn@kdg.be.
