Programme

About your host - Mission and vision

This event is hosted by the Research center Care in Connection at KdG University of Applied Sciences and Arts, in close collaboration with the Professional Bachelor in Midwifery at KdG.

Midwifery research at KdG focuses on practice-oriented research. With extensive expertise in, i.e., research on women in psychosocial vulnerable situations, perinatal loss and communication, mental health, and interprofessional collaboration in primary care, the dedicated research center aims to contribute meaningful insights to clinical practice and academic knowledge. Our research is driven by the desire to improve maternal and childcare outcomes by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and piloting innovative care models in midwifery.

“Hosting this event, we aim to establish lasting collaborations with established and new national and international partners. This event is organized to further strengthen global academic partnerships and support collaborative research initiatives. Our goal is to build bridges and form strong connections with like-minded colleagues across borders, fostering learning, understanding, and collaboration in midwifery research.”
