Kickstart your student life

Get a feel for life on campus. This is your inside view into KdG’s organisations, clubs and ways to connect.

Explore the intranet

From the end of June onwards, enrolled students will get access to KdG's intranet.

This is where you can find out about every aspect of life as a student. Here you'll find:

  • All your programme-specific information, such as contact details, academic calendar, timetables, elective programmes.
  • All the info you need around guidance and support.
  • Answers to any technical questions.
  • News about everything happening on and around the campuses.
  • What’s going on for students in Antwerp.
It feels like we are being heard and taken care of. KdG is trying to get the students to connect with each other as well as with the staff, and this kind of social aspect is quite important to me.

  • As a member, you get early access to the events along with some other benefits.
  • You can choose to dip in and out or get involved in the organisation and planning of new activities.

Connect with your fellow students

To help you really feel a part of the KdG community find out here how to connect with your fellow students.

Community for accepted students

As soon as you have been accepted to study at KdG, you’ll be invited to join an online community of fellow accepted students and year 1 and 2 students from the international programmes.

You'll be sent a link through which you can create your profile. Here you can swap messages with your future classmates and get some great tips from our existing KdG’ers.

Ask your questions about:

  • Practical issues such as housing
  • Preparing for your study programme
  • Hobbies and interests
  • All things Antwerp

This is a safe and helpful space for you to get started and feel part of the KdG community. If you have been accepted but not received the link to join this community, be sure to contact studentservices@kdg.be

Other channels to connect with fellow students

  • Follow us on Instagram to see life through the lens of our international students.
  • KdG In&Out: A Facebook group with more than 1000 members that brings international students and local KdG students together
  • KdG International Students: Closed Facebook group for international students. Ask your questions to experienced students and/or meet up with fellow students.
  • Student Union: KdG’s international student organization which aims to build a stronger student community by offering a variety of activities and support.
  • Applied Computer Science: Discord server made by students, exclusively for Applied CS students.
  • Multimedia & Creative Technologies: WhatsApp group made by students, exclusively for MCT students.
  • International Business Management: Group set-up in progress.
I have learned how to work together, talk to people from other cultures and how to work in uncomfortable situations. This has really helped me grow in the past year.

KdG motivates me through respectful interaction and trust. Giving me the opportunity to engage in different leadership roles, from being part of Student Council, to being an Ambassador. This shows me that I am seen and appreciated and it is contributing to my self-esteem and makes me believe more in my potential.
