Online Marketer for International Courses – 50%

Who are we?

KdG – the Karel de Grote University College in Antwerp, where lecturers and staff are committed every day to providing high-quality education and equal opportunities.

At KdG, we believe it’s important that you feel at home. So you can count on having the space you need. To be yourself. To keep learning. To move forward together. As a university college and as a society.

Fancy joining KdG? Take a look at the online marketer for international programmes – 50%.

What will your role involve?

You’ll ensure that prospective international students and partners find their way to KdG online, get to know what we have to offer, and can make a well-informed choice in favour of KdG. To do this, you’ll utilise a range of online marketing techniques, such as SEO, marketing automation, social media ads and Google Ads.

You’re both a strategist and a doer: you’ll help shape the digital strategy, but you’ll also write copy yourself, build email flows, optimise pages, analyse data and launch campaigns.

What exactly will you be doing?

  • Website & SEO: You manage and optimise our English-language website. With strong content and smart SEO optimisations, you ensure excellent search visibility and high conversion rates.
  • Content & Storytelling: You’ll turn the stories of our students and courses into compelling content. Whether it’s web copy, videos or social media, you’ll ensure the right tone of voice. You’ll also help colleagues refine their content.
  • Marketing Automation & CRM: You’ll build and optimise automated English-language email flows. You’ll segment leads from international fairs and recruitment events, ensuring the right student receives the right message at the right time.
  • Advertising & Campaigns: You’ll set up well-thought-out Google Ads campaigns, monitor the budget and seamlessly link adverts to high-converting landing pages and email campaigns.
  • Data & Optimisation: You analyse user behaviour on our platforms and provide clear insights. You use data not only for reporting, but above all for continuous improvement.

You’ll be part of the international marketing and recruiting team led by Hans Ides. Geertrui Robbrecht is your line manager, and you’ll be based at Campus Zuid.

What is your profile?

We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes digital marketing, enjoys working independently and thrives on a combination of strategy, creativity, technology and analysis.

You can put yourself in the shoes of an international student or partners who are not yet familiar with KdG. You understand what information, stories and experiences are needed to build trust and convince them that this is the right match. You translate these insights into an attractive, user-friendly and conversion-focused English-language website.

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree[1] , preferably in marketing, communication, digital marketing or a similar field, or have equivalent experience.
  • You have relevant experience in digital marketing, content and online communication.
  • You write fluently and persuasively in English (C1 level) and have an excellent feel for language and tone of voice. As a non-native Dutch speaker, you have a B2 for Dutch.
  • You have experience in website management and understand the basics of SEO.
  • You can create content independently and critically assess content produced by others.
  • You have experience with, or a strong interest in, email marketing and marketing automation.
  • You understand how digital campaigns work and, ideally, have experience with Google Ads.
  • You can interpret data and translate insights into concrete improvements.
  • You have a keen interest in digital matters and keep up to date with new developments in marketing, AI and online communication.
  • You work accurately, in an organised manner and independently, whilst actively seeking to collaborate with colleagues.
  • You can switch easily between strategic thinking and hands-on work: devising a campaign strategy today, writing a landing page tomorrow and then analysing the results.
  • Experience with content creation, video or design tools – such as Canva, Adobe, CapCut or AI tools – is a plus.

Above all, you’re someone who asks: “How can we make KDG more accessible to our international students?”

What do we offer you?

  • A part-time[1] role (50%) as a contract staff member[2] starting on 1 January 2027 and running until 31 December 2027. You will receive two consecutive one-year contracts, which will be converted to a permanent contract following a positive evaluation.
  • A salary commensurate with your skills and experience within the B21-B22 career path (equivalent to pay scales 592-584). Click here for more information.
  • A warm welcome into a team of colleagues who are ready to provide you with the support you need right from the start.
  • An environment where you’ll be given plenty of freedom and responsibility to carry out your role.
  • Three times per academic year, we organise a KdG-wide induction day where you’ll get to know KdG better as an organisation. You’ll also have the opportunity to take advantage of a wide range of internal and external training programmes.
  • Our commitment to continuously building a inclusive working environment where everyone can be themselves and learn from one another. We strongly believe in the power of differences and complementarity, and are convinced that a diverse pool of colleagues and an inclusive environment make us all better, stronger and more talented.
  • Benefits include flexible working hours, the option of hybrid working, a laptop (for assignments of 30% or more), a generous number of annual leave days (45 days for a full-time assignment[3] ), an internet allowance of €20 per month, benefits @ work, a teachers’ card offering numerous advantages, and the option of hospitalisation insurance at a favourable rate.
  • We reimburse 100% of the cost of commuting by public transport, and if you cycle to work, you’ll receive €0.30 per km.

Waarom werken bij KdG?

Eerlijk?

Iedereen is welkom.
